Shirley Ann Fortune

Shirley Ann Fortune, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon passed away peacefully at home February 12, 2010. Preceding her in death were her parents Ray and Carrie Blixseth. She is survived by her devoted husband Wayne Fortune, children; Sherry and Scott Dunnihoo, Stepchildren: Matt and Scott Fortune, Grandchildren; Sedonia Darling, Ayla Dunnihoo-Ballis, Maya and Tara Dunnihoo, Siblings; Sally West, Bonnie Abramsson, Carolyn Wheeler and Timothy Blixseth.
Shirley was born in Ryderwood, Washington and moved to Roseburg in the late 1940's . She worked for Gerretsen's Building Supply for 45 years, retiring in 1993. Shirley loved to dance; most Saturday evenings you could find Shirley and Wayne at the Moose Lodge dancing to their favorite songs. A memorial service will be held at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses, 1pm, Thursday, February 18, 2010 with visitation from 9am to noon. A celebration of life potluck will follow the service at the Elks Lodge, 749 SE Jackson St., Roseburg, OR. There after you can visit Shirley at the Peace Mausoleum within the grounds of the Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
