Teresa Z. Tucker

TERESA Z. TUCKER 50 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 following a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born August 31, 1960 in Portland, Oregon. Teresa graduated from Roseburg High School and attended UCC and Western Oregon. She worked for over 20 years as a social services assistant with the Wolf Creek Job Corps. Teresa was an active member of Vine Street Baptist Church. She was involved with the youth group, pianist for the senior adult choir and Disaster Relief with the Southern Baptist Convention. Teresa was a board member of the Oregon Youth Authority and DHS. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing. Survivors include her mother Herta Tucker; brother Steven Tucker and his wife Sandra; niece Erin Tucker and her companion David Butler; great niece Ava; great nephew Taylor and Trenton; special friends Bob Pearson and his wife Sherry; many many friends through Vine Street Baptist Church, youth group and Job Corps that she considered "family". Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at Vine Street Baptist Church. Pastor Rick Hahn will officiate. Private interment will follow within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
