Thelma June "June" Gurney

Thelma "June" Gurney, age 81, passed away January 12, 2015, at Chantele's Loving Touch Memory Care in Sutherlin, Oregon. June was born April 13, 1933 in Saratoga, Texas to James and Maggie Courts. June lived in Oregon 61 years. She worked at Martin Box Lumber, Oakland, OR, Nordic Plywood, Sutherlin, OR, and US Plywood, Roseburg, OR for a time in her life. She enjoyed cooking, making quilts, and going to yard sales. She also loved camping, hunting, fishing, card games, and watching professional bull riding on TV with family and friends. June was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate, Ralph Gurney, brothers, Alvin "Buck" Courts, Bradley "Buddy" Courts, Pete Courts, and a sister, Lillian Westmoreland. She is survived by sisters Julia Anderson in Arkansas, Blanch Lowe and Vivian Stanley of Texas. June had six children, one son Don Parsons of Arizona, five daughters and their spouses, Carol Ann and Jerry Davis of Nevada, Eunice and Norman Wells, Nellie McKinney of Sutherlin, Oregon, Debra and Bob Huckins, Barbara and Steve Smith of Oakland, Oregon and numerous grand children, great grand children and great great grandchildren, and many more family and friends.
