Age 82, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away from heart and kidney failure on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born in Kansas City, KS. Tom lived in Kansas City, KS, Tucson, AZ, Santa Barbara, CA for 29 years and Roseburg, OR for 29 years. He attended college for a year before serving in the Air Force. Tom worked at Phipps Motor - Burton Motors, Santa Barbara, CA. He enjoyed bluegrass music, playing banjo, RV outings, meeting with the Roseburg Warbirds, woodworking, and photography. He was a Roseburg Elks #326 officer since 1988, and he was a member of the United Methodist Church of Roseburg. Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years Lois; son, Mike (Ann) O'Neill; grandchildren: Ryan and Brenna O'Neill, all of Santa Clarita, CA. He is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Irene O'Neill, and his sister Kathleen O'Neill Richards. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 1771 W. Harvard Ave. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roseburg Elks #326 and the First United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Mercy Medical Center, Fire District #2, Station #5, Roseburg Fire Department, Umpqua Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Wilson's Chapel of the Roses.
