Velma V. Lemings

MRS. VELMA (DEWEY) LEMINGS 87 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Sunday October 24, 2010 at her home. She was born February 16, 1923 in Clinton, Arkansas to Mack and Cora Dewey. Velma married Alvin Lemings who preceded her in death after 63 years of marriage in 2001. Velma lived in Clinton, Arkansas and Medford, Oregon prior to moving to Roseburg. She enjoyed making quilts. Survivors include her daughter Dottie Lage of Spokane, Washington; sons Leonard Lemings and his wife Sandra of Roseburg, Leon Lemings and his wife Eunice of Clinton, Arkansas and Gary Lemings and his wife Mary of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren Doug Lage, Deedra Lashbrook, Terry Lemings, Ranee Haywood, Leon Lemings, Lonnie Lemings, Stacy Lemings, Corrie Bennett and Jodi Lemings; numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Lemings was also preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Del Lage. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29th, 2010 at 11:00 am at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. Mike King will officiate. Interment will follow within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
