Victor Leonidas Monger, 80, of Winston went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2012 after an extended illness. Victor was born to Walter and Merety (Suggs) Monger on May 23, 1932 in San Angelo, Texas. He attended Roseburg High School and Mountain View Bible College. During his career he was a member of the National Guard, and worked for the Bell Telephone Company, a school bus driver and a Minister for over 10 years. Vic enjoyed hunting, reading, serving and ministering to people, singing, tinkering and fixing things, cars and spoiling his grandchildren. Victor is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean; a daughter Melissa (Brian) Flynn of Pflugerville, TX; sons; Curtis (Cheri), Robert (Lynn), Greg all of Roseburg, Oregon, Roger of Sutherlin, Oregon, Fred (Jenny) of New Orleans, Louisiana and Chris (Vicky) of Kaiser, Oregon. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 15 Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two daughters; Victoria Monger and Candace Jackman; his sister, Esther Erskine and a brother, David. Visitation will be Thursday January 10, 2013 from 10 am until 5 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. The Celebration of Life will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses with interment to follow at Oak Creek Cemetery.
