VIRGINIA LEA KOOGLER 71, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her home. She was born August 22, 1942 in Dierks, Arkansas to Jack and Margaret Jones. Virginia has also lived in Carson City, Nevada, Powers, Oregon, Myrtle Point, Oregon, Winston, Oregon and Roseburg, Oregon for the past 21 years. She worked as a Keno runner, at Roseburg Forest Products and a school bus driver for Winston-Dillard School District for 21 years. Virginia also worked at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in the evenings. She enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. Survivors include her husband James Koogler, mother Margaret Jones; daughter Karin Weatherford; son Jeffrey D. Smith and his wife Teresa; step-daughters Linda Buckner and her husband Tom; step-sons Richard Koogler and his wife Elizabeth, Jeff Koogler and his wife Karen and Robert Koogler and his wife Cynthia; brothers Ernest Jones and his wife Shirley and Jackie Jones and his wife Audrey; grandchildren MacKenzie Wright, Nathan Smith, Brandi Smith and Christina Rose; great grandchildren Brayden Applegarth and Keagan Applegarth and friends Robert and Emma Arnot. Virginia was preceded in death by her father Jack Jones; daughters Angelina and Jeanifer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. Interment will follow within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jeff Hart will officiate. Those who wish may pay their respects on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 12:00 until 5:00 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. At the family's request contributions may be made in Virginia's memory to Mercy Hospice and these may be left with Wilson's Chapel of the Roses.
