Virginia Kateley

VIRGINIA (GINNIE) LANE-KATELEY of Sutherlin, Oregon, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the age of 79. She was born on October 12, 1935 to Toby Gonsales and Emma Hernandez in El Rito, New Mexico. Ginnie married Gerald Kent Lane in Southern California in 1954 and they had four children together. On March 22, 2008, Ginnie and Roger Kateley were married. She worked for the phone company for a period of time and volunteered at the local Senior Center, but most of her time was spent being a loving wife and homemaker. Ginnie loved to crochet and cook and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rudy Gonsales. Ginnie is survived by her husband, Roger Kateley; sons Gerald Kent Lane, Jr of Sacramento, CA, Tony Lane (Colette) of Roseburg, and Russell Lane (Teresa) of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter Cherrie Ann Lane of Sacramento, CA; brothers Ike Martinez (Kay), Jerry Martinez (Sue); step-children Sandy Kateley (Betty), Randy Kateley (Marie), Kindra Frasier (John), Tony Kateley (Denise), Belinda Whittington (James), Timmy Kateley (Brenda), and Goldie Denney (Steve); sister Jeannie Benart (Don); 33 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Fair Oaks Community Church Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery.
