Vivian Louise Yard

Vivian Louise Yard, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 6:46 p.m. She was born on January 17, 1936 and celebrated her 80th birthday this year. Vivian struggled with a year long battle with lung cancer that took her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Norman Yard; her sister, Wanda (Wade) Ballard of Ranier, OR; her three children James Michael Yard, Robert Harold (Rita) Yard of Oakland, OR and Karen Yard (Charles) Shepherd of Port Orchard, WA; grandchildren Jason Shepherd, Malissa Shepherd, Michael Yard, Amanda Yard Benitez, Troy Shepherd, Bryan Shepherd and Robbie Yard; great grandchildren Kyle, Cody, Faith, Mike, Tory, Taylor, Lily, Jaden, Connor and Kiley; and numerous nieces and nephews scattered across the country. The right words are hard to find in times like this.she devoted her life to her family. She taught us well and will forever be remembered for the meals she prepared, the love she shared with celebratory events and her spirit for cooking. She was loved and will be forever missed.
