WANDA M. LILES 74 of Umpqua, Oregon passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her home with her children at her side. She was born March 14, 1935 in Roseburg, Oregon to Howard A. and Dorothy D. (Mohr) Leonard. Wanda graduated from Myrtle Creek High School in 1953. She lived in Myrtle Creek, Kellogg and Umpqua. Wanda married Jack Liles. They owned and operated a sheep ranch for 44 years in Umpqua. Wanda also worked as a cook for 6 years in local restaurants. She was active with the Cole's Valley Cemetery Cleanup and the Umpqua Annual Plant Sale. Wanda enjoyed fishing, hunting, family trips, flower gardening and painting. Survivors include her daughters Nancy Sullivan and her husband Bob; Debbie Holder and her husband Pinky and Cheryl Blakely and her husband John; sons Steve Scevers and his wife Jamie and James Liles and his wife Ruth Ann; sister Louise Trusheim and Charlie Peterman; brother Bill Leonard; 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Dorothy Leonard and her husband of 26 years Jack Liles. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Sutherlin Family Church. Pastor Paul Glazner will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Cole's Valley Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at the Umpqua Community Center in Umpqua. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Services and Nurse Kate.
