On September 20, 2011 William John Bettis was taken away from us at the age of 40. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Charity Beth McSperitt, his children Brian Allen McSperitt, and Catherine Marceline Kateley, his grandson Bryson Alexander McSperitt, his babies Kali Ma and Innana. He also leaves behind his father William, mother Susan, grand-mother Lois, brothers Sean, Billy and Grant, sisters Helga and Deidre, and many other loving family and friends. Those who were fortunate enough for William to love experienced William's true spirit. William's wife knew him to be dedicated, hardworking, compassionate and loving. His son describes him as a role model, companion, friend, and confidant. His daughter remembers him as reliable, constant presence that brought her security. His family and friends describe him as kind, funny, and free spirited. He also found joy in playing practical jokes and making people laugh. William's presence will be missed, but his spirit lives on forever in those who and loved him. A celebration of William's life will be held at Swift Water Park in Glide, Oregon on Saturday, October 1, 2011at 1:00PM.
