William (Bill) M. Steinbrook
Age 54, of Yoncalla, Oregon, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. He was born on August 14, 1959 to Marion O. and Valeria Ferguson Steinbrook. Bills occupations in included carpentry; retired Army E-8; Quality Auto Repair, Horizon, Mobile Diesel and Senior Pastor of Gateway Family Fellowship, Drain, Oregon. Bill has lived in numerous residences due to his 20 years military service with his final residence being in Yoncalla, Oregon. While in the military service Bill was an Army Airborne Ranger: U.S. Army Recruiter, Station Commander and Recruiter, Battalion Sergeant Major and Company First Sergeant; 1st Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade; Brigade Personnel Officer and Public Affairs Officer; Artillery Master Sergeant; Battalion Master Sergeant; Adjutant Brigadier Master Sergeant. Bill received numerous medals including the Army Achievement Medal. Bill was the senior pastor at Gateway Family Fellowship. He loved his family and church family very much. He loved children, helping others, talking about God, saving individuals so they could go to heaven and discipleship. He was very compassionate and helpful towards others always having a warm smile for everyone. His hobbies included mechanics, carpentry, and fishing. Bill was the Yoncalla City Planning Commissioner. He is survived by his wife, Abby Steinbrook; brothers: Jeff Ramsey, Mike and Fred Steinbrook; three paternal half-sisters; three maternal half-sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; five stepchildren; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Rosemary Allen Steinbrook. A memorial service will be on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Yoncalla High School
